Recipe: Chicken Broth & Chicken broth purée

This was a lifesaver during Olives teething period as she was suffering from a fever and was dehydrated as well because she wasn’t drinking enough of mama’s milk, I tried giving her water but I read everywhere that water doesn’t give her enough nutrients so I read that chicken broth is a great, fresh and healthy way to get your baby hydrated as well as filled with nutrients that she needs. Chicken broth is great for adults as well 🙌

1. Wash and chop up the ingredients.

I used celery, garlic, onion, carrots, chicken thighs on the bone and I added some dried thyme and salt to my broth 👌

2. Add water and bring to a boil, then leave it on low heat for about 2 hours, covered. Keep removing the frothy stuff that comes to the top during the 2 hours.

3. Strain the broth to make sure your left with the liquid goodness.

4.Remove the chicken bones and blend the ingredients with a little bit of the broth to make a purée which your baby can then also eat 👌

5.Voila-Ready!

I got all my ingredients from the Naivas in Ridgeways which I happen to find a really great supermarket. The best naivas I’ve seen as well 🙌
